Client Profiles - User Guide
Last Updated: 2026-01-21 Version: Phase 1 (MVP) Status: Active Feature
Overview
Client Profiles are optional personal profiles that help you build trust and communication with providers. They are completely private - never publicly searchable and only visible to providers you directly message.
Think of your client profile as a way to introduce yourself to an escort or other provider before meeting. You can share information about yourself, your interests, and what you're looking for in a way that feels safe and controlled.
Key Principles
- Your Control: You decide what information to share
- Private by Default: Only visible to providers in your conversations
- Optional: You can use the platform without creating a profile
- Manageable: Edit or disable sharing anytime
- Safe: Providers cannot search for profiles - they only see yours if you message them

Clients Without Profiles
When a Client Has No Profile
You'll see:
- "Anonymous Client" instead of their name
- No profile information available
- They still sent you a message and are open to chatting
Why Clients Skip Profiles
- New to the platform and still exploring
- Prefer to share information gradually
- Concerned about privacy initially
- Simply haven't filled one out yet
How to Handle It
- Respond warmly despite the lack of a profile
- Ask questions to learn about them (many clients will share once you start chatting)
- Don't make it a barrier to communication
- Some clients build trust through conversation first
Contact Records
Note for Safety: Clients don't have visible profiles don't mean you can't keep private notes about them.
- Use your Contact Records or Client Notes feature (if available) to store:
- Their real name (if they share it)
- Location and availability info
- Service preferences they mention
- Any special requests or boundaries
- Personal details they share over time
This helps you remember clients between conversations and maintain your own safety records.
FAQ
For Clients
Q: Is my profile public? A: No. Your profile is completely private. It's never visible in search results, discovery, or anywhere else on the platform. Providers only see it when you message them, and only if you've enabled the sharing toggle.
Q: Can I delete my profile? A: Yes. You can delete your entire profile anytime from your profile page. You can also disable sharing without deleting it - just uncheck the "Share with providers" option.
Q: What happens if I disable sharing? A: When sharing is disabled, providers see "Anonymous Client" instead of your profile when you message them. Your messages still send normally, and they can still reply. You can re-enable sharing anytime.
Q: Do providers see my real name? A: Only if you put it in your display name. You can use a nickname, first name, or any name you prefer. Your legal name is never shared unless you choose to include it.
Q: Can I update my profile after creating it? A: Yes. You can edit any part of your profile anytime. Just visit your client profile page and make changes. Updates are saved immediately.
Q: Will providers judge me if my profile is incomplete? A: Most won't. Many clients have incomplete profiles and still have great conversations. That said, more complete profiles do tend to get faster responses - providers appreciate the extra effort.
Q: What if a provider uses information from my profile inappropriately? A: Report them immediately. This violates platform terms. Use the report feature in the conversation or contact support with details.
Q: Can I have different profiles for different providers? A: No - you have one client profile. But you can edit it anytime. Some clients adjust their bio or interests over time based on what they're looking for.
Q: What if I'm nervous about sharing information? A: You can start with minimal info (just display name and "Share Disabled"), then add more as you build rapport with providers. Many clients do this.
Q: Who can see my age or location? A: Only providers you message, and only if you include that info in your profile AND keep sharing enabled. You can leave these blank if you prefer.
For Providers
Q: Why can't I see some client profiles? A: This happens when:
- The client hasn't created a profile yet
- The client has disabled the "Share with providers" toggle
- The client created a profile but hasn't filled in any information yet
All are normal - still respond warmly and ask questions.
Q: What does "Anonymous Client" mean? A: The client either has no profile or has disabled sharing. They're still real people interested in contacting you - don't over-interpret the anonymity.
Q: Can I message clients who haven't created profiles? A: Yes. You can message anyone who messages you, whether or not they have a profile. Many clients are perfectly happy to chat and share information gradually.
Q: Should I only respond to clients with complete profiles? A: No. While complete profiles help, don't let them be your only filtering mechanism. Many wonderful clients have minimal profiles. Use your judgment and instincts.
Q: How is the completion percentage calculated? A: It's based on how many sections of the profile are filled in:
- Display Name (required)
- Bio/About section
- Age range
- Location information
- Services of interest
Q: Can I see previous clients' profiles if I blocked or archived the conversation? A: No. Profile access is tied to active conversations. Archive or block conversations and the profile access goes away.
Q: Is profile information verified? A: No. Profiles are self-reported. Always use good judgment and your own verification practices, especially regarding safety and availability.

Troubleshooting
For Clients
Problem: My profile isn't showing to providers I message
Solutions:
- Check if sharing is enabled: Go to Profile > Settings > "Share with providers I contact" should be checked
- Save your profile: Visit your profile page and click "Save" again
- Wait a moment: Sometimes it takes a few seconds for updates to sync
- Try messaging again: Send a test message to see if the new profile appears
- Clear your browser cache: Sometimes old data is cached locally
Problem: I can't edit my profile
Solutions:
- Refresh the page: Click your browser's refresh button
- Try a different browser: Test in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
- Log out and back in: Sometimes sessions get stuck
- Check your connection: Make sure you have stable internet
- Contact support: If problems persist, reach out via the help menu
Problem: A provider can see information I didn't put in my profile
This shouldn't happen. If it does:
- Report the provider immediately
- Note exactly what information they revealed
- Contact support with the conversation link
- We'll investigate and take appropriate action
For Providers
Problem: I can't view a client's profile
Reasons this might happen:
- The client has no profile yet (new users often skip this)
- The client disabled sharing
- The client's profile is empty
- You're viewing an archived conversation
- There's a technical issue
Solutions:
- Just message them and ask: "Tell me about yourself"
- Check if the "View Profile" button appears (if it does, try clicking it again)
- Refresh the page and reopen the conversation
- Contact support if you see an error message
Problem: Client profile information seems outdated
Client profiles update when the client edits them:
- Refresh the conversation page to see the latest version
- Ask the client directly: "Is this still accurate?"
- Remember: Clients can change profiles anytime
- Keep your own notes for reference (in your Contact Records)
Problem: A client gave me information that contradicts their profile
Trust what they tell you directly:
- People sometimes add context in conversation
- Profiles are summaries, not exhaustive
- If there's a safety concern, err on the side of caution
- Keep your own notes for reference
Best Practices
For Clients
Creating Your Profile
- Use a real or authentic name/nickname - avoid anonymous-sounding names
- Write genuinely about yourself - be honest about what you want
- Include at least basic location - helps with logistics
- Enable sharing - shows you're comfortable being known
- Spell-check - proofread before saving
After Creating
- Update your profile as your preferences change
- Add more details after positive experiences to improve matches
- If something isn't working, consider what to adjust
- Remember: Providers appreciate effort and transparency
Safety Considerations
- Don't include sensitive contact information (phone, email, address)
- Avoid mentioning workplace or specific identifying details initially
- Start with a pseudonym if you're nervous
- Meet providers gradually - build trust before sharing more
Getting Better Responses
- The more complete your profile, the faster providers typically respond
- A good bio makes a huge difference - show personality
- Being specific about location helps with availability
- Clear interests help providers know if you're compatible
For Providers
Using Client Profiles
- Read profiles carefully before responding - shows you paid attention
- Reference profile details in your response: "I see you're interested in dinner dates..."
- Don't assume profile info is complete - ask questions
- Remember that anonymous clients are still real people
After Viewing
- Make notes if you archive/block - you won't see the profile again
- Use your Contact Records to store important details
- Follow up with questions if their profile is sparse
- Be warm and welcoming - many clients start minimal and open up
Safety Considerations
- Profile information is client-reported, not verified
- Always use your standard safety practices
- Ask for verification (pics, references, etc.) as needed
- Trust your instincts - if something seems off, investigate
- Never share client profile information with others
